Is that normal to wait so long?

Hi everybody,

I sent my I-130 I-485 package on Sep 20. USCIS received the package on Sep 22. But up to now, I have not received confirmation email/txt. The 2 checks included in the package has not been cashed yet. Is that normal? Did you ever experience this?

Give it a few more days. Minimum time to hear from them is a week from the time they receive the package.

I waited and they sent the entire package back to me after 10 days because of some signature problems.

If you had the entire duplicate of what you sent I suggest you double check and see if there are any discrepancies... ie; signatures, names filled out right, consistent dates and right requirements, you know important personal details...

also, did you put the e-notification form on top of everything? because I put mine on the bottom part of the application and they probably didn't see it. it helps if it's on top too.

For me, it took 5 long weeks to receive receipt notices after filing. 2 weeks after I also got the FP appointment. So I would say that you have to wait and if after 30 days of submitting (today) you did not receive any notice, call USCIS and they will do a Service Request. Best.
