I had hoped you'd feel guilty for your terse jibe at my intellect and you'd apologise; but, some people are hopeless when it comes to feeling compassion and remorse. I hope your ill behavior is only truncated within the confines of these boards and doesn't spill over into your real life.

Well indigo what can i say. i know you was joking. i was just going with the flow. i was just playing with you but its ok i understand your position. i was just joking with you but fine i will apologize. i thought with all the frustration and stressfull waiting on this board that i would play around a little with you but i guess you don't like to play. i respect that and apologize for my joking and will for now try to be more serious to you.

Thank you to everyone who congratulated us. :)

@LotofPatience- will do, thanks for the heads up.

@IndigoSkies- good luck next Monday with your call to NVC (though I might even suggest you give it a try on Friday as they may be less busy). :)

@BrokenFamily - I hear where you are coming from and am not the type of person who wishes to cause any further backlogs in the system.

Regarding your comment "you can check your bank to see if check was cashed to make sure they got paperwork"... we can't send a payment until we are invoiced for it, which hasn't happened yet. So, perhaps you thought we are in a different part of the process than we really are. The reason I was calling the NVC was to find out if they had assigned a case number and then to inform them that we wish to use email. Had I listened to the operator I spoke with yesterday and waited several weeks before calling again, we would have received an invoice via snail mail, which could add weeks to our process. Since we have already been apart for 15 months (due to some circumstances beyond our control that I won't go into right now), any amount of time I can shave off of the process by making a one minute (to the operator) phone call is very much worth "the dime" to us. My advice: This is supposed to be a supportive community. Let's be empathetic and supportive of each other rather than critical/quick to judge and attack, we are all in the same boat!

I am a jerk at times, maybe should have worded it better. I see a lot of people on these boards with real problems and they spend a heck of a long time on the phone trying to get past a busy signal. So I guess you could see my comment as a way of being supportive to these folks. Its been awhile since I was at that stage, but seems to me the email field is in some of these forms?

That's cool to support the folks who are having problems getting through. I too got a busy signal many times and waited on hold for 30 minutes the two times I called. I don't remember seeing an email field on a form, but perhaps that would come later in my process?

Anyways, I am going by the info on the EZ Guide here on VJ: EZ Guide - Spouse just in case that helps anyone!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
