Hi Guys

I'm in the process of filing I-751 and need you help For Part 3 # 7 (Have you ever been arrested, detained, charged, indicted, fined or imprisoned for breaking and violating any law or ordinance or committed any crime which you were not arrested in the US or abroad?

Does this question applies here if you you ever been arrested here in US?

When my spouse came fronm to US, he was upset and we start arguing and he broke photo frames and the argument went a littlt hooter and he called 911 in anger. The police came and saw broken glass and took us to the station. Long story short, we had a case on us and then it was dismissed for mutal understaing.

Now, i don't know what to put for this question the form, yes or no.

Can someone forshadow their knowledge as to what should i do for this question?

Were you officially charged for anything (i.e. disturbance, etc.)??? If yes, then you should tell the truth on the application. If police just took you and your spouse for little lecture and none of you were officially charged then you don't have to report it.

Since USCIS does criminal background checks, if you don't tell the truth, it can come back to bite you.

Also, in my opinion, this does not seem to be very serious offence or crime...so you should tell the truth...

You will need to answer "Yes" that you have been arrested. You will then need to include a letter explaining what happened and a certified copy court documents saying that it was dismissed. You may also need a certified copy of the arrest report from the police department. Make sure that all copies are stamped by the court or police department, otherwise they will not be accepted.

Good luck.
