My husband is a fire fighter on the side, hense the names, so I volunteer at the fire station.

The other fire wives pick me up and drop me off, and keep me busy.

Other then that there is a lot of movies, tv, gaming, facebook, reading, and keeping the cat company.

He works a lot -- 6 day weeks at his normal job, then fire calls as well, so there is a lot of keeping myself occupied.

I'm in Richmond too! I'm just about to go for a walk with dumb nuts here (that's the nickname Chris gave to the dog) to Pocahontas park. I think it's awesome that I get to walk where Pocahontas lived (but I'm a little obsessed with native american history too, dorky me).

And yeah, star_shine, where are you at again?

Gosh, I wish I had the balls to volunteer...

I don't understand why you would need the "ball's" to volunteer....is it you are too shy or is it something we are not allowed to do? I thought as long as you volunteer doing something that a person wouldn't normally get paid to do then you are ok...?

I also might do an online course....depending on the cash situation of course...

You know what I did when I was waiting for my EAD? Absolutely nothing!! I slept in, watched a lot of TV, went out for walks, went shopping, hung out at the park, read some good books. Sure it was boring every now and then, but for the most part it was fantastic. Enjoy the time you have without the responsibility and stress of work! It will end before you know it.
