Next time send the flowers to your love - you will see more gratitude :rofl::rofl:

Good advice!! To the OP: ask them if they can refund your money. Then like Lucy said, use it to send flowers to your Fiancee!

On serious note, if the OP had come on here and said he was considering doing that before he actually did it, I think the general consensus of the replies would have been to NOT DO IT. :bonk:

Why red flag yourself and your petition when you probably had no red flags to begin with. :o:bonk::blink::no:

As LucyNY said, that $75 you spent on the flowers should have gone to your SO instead.:lol::rofl::lol:

So call me unlucky, silly or lovestruck. I thought hey!.. they are so busy working on other types of Visa at VSC. Maybe I can get someones attention. So I ordered a huge boquet of expensive flowers to send anonymously to the department. I thought someone might appreciate their beauty and take an extra 5 minutes off their lunch hour to take a peak. I also realized they may take the card off and display the flowers ....that was okay too!...But alas they turned the whole thing away and refused to accept it at all. Seventy Five dollars down the drain.

Next time, if you want to send flowers send them to your fiancee, mom, sister, etc. We will all just have to wait for an adjudicator to go through our petition packets...

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

-Henry David Thoreau

I am sure your Fiancee would have loved those flowers, I know that mine does because I just sent her some for her birthday, The rewards are much better that way too. It is also useful because you can use the receipt for proof of an ongoing relationship when the time comes If they need more proof...lol

Huh, didn't know that... I'd process packages for people from home :D

Jim he said he sent it anonymously... so I don't think they'd think bribe. My first thought was "terrorism" actually.

OP - It does seem like you were just trying to be nice and I hope it doesn't affect you like Jim's saying it could :D

oh boy.

you may think it was anonymous -

but

if the FBI gets involved for any 'backtracking' -

it's gonna be dead easy to determine (for them)

who paid for the flowers..

Just saying...

If I was doing something like this, I'd choose

the Immigration Liason Staffer

at my US Senator's office,

to send flowers to, and it wouldn't be anonymous - I'd want him/her to know it was from me.

They are not allowed to accept anything valued at more than 5$. and even that could create problems.. I discussed this wth my ILO... I asked if pizza showed up anonymously at lunch what would happen.. "it would get eaten""... any other gifts from an individual would get refused/returned... if they accept something from someone they run the risk of losing thier position...

Not true. I would ask when they were going to be delivered so I could drop by the VSC abd take the flowers out of the dumpster and give them to Alla.
