a little lesson in arabic, please

One of my friends at work is making a sign for the front door of our house as a suprise for my husband when he arrives. It will be made out of metal and he wants it to say "Welcome". I am wondering if someone here would help me out by posting the word so I can copy it and take it to my friend. I don't want to ask my husband to do it because it would spoil the suprise. I know it will make him smile to see an arabic welcome on our door.

rebecca, you're too quick...I was going to type the same thing but couldn't get the font to work lol My husband has been teaching me the arabic alphabet and how to write/spell and I'm almost done!! You know when we were in school and they would tell us..."that looks like chicken scratch...do it again...and NEATER".... I told noor last night....instead of saying that..they must have said something like..."that doesn't look enough like chicken scratch...do it again" of course ..all is said with the lightest of heart and in no way is to be demeaning to their script...I think it's lovely...(I hope this isn't taken out of context)

I hardly ever write anything any more, regardless of the language. I type notes, print them out. My husband wants me to work on my handwriting in Arabic and makes up worksheets for me He also gave me children's workbooks. I feel like I am back in elementary school writing the same things over and over.

Thanks for all the help. I am trying to find as many things as i can to ease the transition when he finally gets here. Abderrazzak says he will teach my grandaugter and me Arabic and French. I hope i can keep up with her. She will be 3 on halloween. I hope he will be here for the birthday party. She loves to talk with him on the internet. She calls him Jadi.
