My I-360 is in process. They've sent me the I-360 form receiving receipt and cashed my check also. But now the case is pending. I want to ask how much time does it take? It's been a month that I received letter from them.

Secondly, my biggest concern is about my address change. If anyone of you could help me in this regard. My I-360 petition was filed by my HR manager. Now at the time of filling the case I mentioned my brother's address who lives in Maryland and it was easy for me to gave his address because I think that is a more safer mail address for me plus I was changing my address at that very time when I filed my I-360 form. I was moving from DC to Virginia.

The other day I was going through USCIS website and I changed my address on the website. I put my current address and by mistake in my previous address I mentioned my previous address rather than mentioning my brother's address (the address which they have on form). But I didn't receive any confirmation mail after submitting it (I entered my email address there too).

The next day I called the USCIS and wanted to check with them about the address they've on my form ... But they said that if you didn't file the petition on your own, you can not change the address yourself. ONLY the person (HR manager in my case) who submitted your petition can change the address on your account.

My QUESTION is, when I submitted the address change on USCIS website using my CASE NO, would it have been changed there? because I never received any confirmation email. I want to keep my brother's address on my case. Really worried :(

Why don't you ask HR to submit the AR-11 change of address form for you? Never mind sending it twice as long as they have the correct address on file.

I now feel that I should not change my address as people around me have told me that changing address is going to prolong the process for me ... Is that the case ? Plus currently I've my brother's age on my petition. I would like to keep it that way ...

I'm just confused that the address change (for which I didn't receive any confirmation email) would have been stored in their data base or not?

Thanks

What would prolong the process (I would think) is if the Feds were under the impression they have been sending mail to the right address, but you have not been receiving them and perhaps miss any vital instructions from them... I don't think that is a risk you can take either. In the end it's up to you.

I'm getting my mail so there's no point that I'll be missing it (as it's my brother's address). I was just concerned if changing address during the pending petition of I 360 will make this process longer? I do not intend to change address as I've no problem to receive it at my brother's place. But I've a doubt that when I tried to make a change of address AR-11 at USCIS's website, it didn't send me any confirmation email, so would it have been stored in their data or not ?? Any idea ??

So, anyone can tell me if changing address in actual prolongs the application's status or not ?? If it does, WHY ?
