The I-192 Waiver wouldn't have been good for an Immigrant Visa anyway as it is specifically to "Enter as a Non-Immigrant", maybe that was part of the confusion at the Embassy. What they're supposed to do it tell you that your Visa is denied because you are currently inadmissible and then tell you which Waiver (I-601/I-212) you need to apply for.

I totally agree with you. The I-192 was basically my travel document for years and had I gone with my gut it would have been renewed Aug. 2009 thus allowing me into the US until the 601 has been processed. I decided to go with the advice of my attorney instead...

Yes, the Visa could have been denied however the CO made a decision and it came back on him. My attorney submitted all of the I-192/CIMT stuff 3 years ago when I first applied for the CR1, SO, one would think there was enough evidence to make a proper decision....Approved OR Denied.
