Tax Transcripts for AOS

Ok so State travel site says that You can submit your tax returns + W2's or Just tax transcripts for Affidavit of Support. I cannot find tax returns for all last 3 years but I did order Tax Transcripts. Will that be sufficient for NVC or will i get an RFE?

You shouldn't get an RFE. I ordered transcripts for our AOS package but they didn't come in time, so I sent a copy of my 2009 return+w2s. I do not believe you need 3 years of returns, just the most recent year and the adjusted gross income from the other 2 years.

2009 tax return is mandatory, 2007 & 08 are optional. But fill out the income of all the last 3 years.

Hotzone, you can call IRS line to get all the tax transcripts by fax or visit local IRS office to get them, if the time is the constraint.

Also, 1040, its all schedules plus W2/1099 can replace the tax transcripts.

But I presonally prefer just to send only tax transcripts plus employment letter and this year's paystubs.

Read the instruction manual for I864. You can send only transcripts. That's enough. If you don't have transcripts and want to send tax returns, make sure you include W2. If you're doing transcripts, don't include W2 or anything else. Keep it simple, neat, and clean. Don't go overboard and follow the instructions religiously.

I also sent in tax transcripts for 3 years as required for NVC and it was good enough for NVC, but interviewer asked my wife for W-2's and my Property assessments for AOS. problem was i don't get w-2's as i am self employed, so i emailed her my 3 years of tax transcripts and property assessments while she still in Manila, she go to Cafe and print them and return to Embassy same day to drop them off. 12 days later she received her CR-1 visa by courier.

Correct me if I'm wrong but do we only need to submit the Federal 1040 returns and not the state returns correct?

State returns are NOT needed, only Federal returns.

Again, if you have tax transcripts, you don't have to worry about all other things, they are not needed.

I ordered transcripts but they might take 2-3 weeks to arrive. I don't want to wait that long. I'm going to Submit 2009 Tax Returns, Current Job Letter and previous employer job letter which shows 2 years job record. Hopefully that will be enough?

The transcripts usually arrive in 7-10 days. Not 2-3 weeks as stated by the phone system. Speaking from personal experience. Trust me I had to order a lot of transcripts for myself regarding immigration and other matters.

If you're freaking out, then get a human being on IRS and beg them to fax you the transcripts. My uncle was able to get his transcripts faxed in 20 minutes. This was a few years ago, however.
