So i was handed a white A4 sized envelope when i got my medical done in Knightsbridge, it is sealed and has my name and case number written on it. When i hold it up to the light, i see one CD inside a paper case. Can anyone enlighten me as to what this is and whether i need to leave it sealed?

Thanks.

PS, i had my medical before the K1 interview.

If it's a CD (with your x-ray? Did you get your x-ray separately? I think this is a new thing), then no, no use sending it in with your AOS. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to open it. How many sheets of paper do you estimate are inside? Do you have your vaccination supplement DS3025 separate from that envelope?

Yeah, seems to be a CD, i didn't receive a separate X-ray, so this must be it.

There does not appear to be anything else inside, but it is sealed by Knightsbridge doctor stamps etc.

I do have my DS3025 separate from this envelope.

Knightsbridge used to send your giant film x-ray to the embassy, who would then pass it on to you at the first window where they take your documents. It sounds like Knightsbridge has upgraded and gone digital so they can give you a copy of your x-ray on the spot in a compact size. It's mainly for your records and doesn't go in with AOS. There's no reason I can think of why it should remain sealed if it doesn't contain your 4 page medical report.. And it certainly frees up the embassy from having to deal with all those oversized envelopes to hand off to the visa applicants.
