Hi! Just wondering if I needed to get a Police Certificate (for my CR1 application) from the counties I've been to in the last five years (like Qatar from 2006 to 2008)? Thank you.

You only need a police report from any country that you have lived in for MORE than 12 months.

These then need to translated into English.

Hope this helps

I really do not know if you need them from the specific counties in Qatar. check the visa reciprocity tables here - http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_4881.html?cid=3654 . If they aren`t specific enough I would suggest attempting to contact the US embassy where you will interview or having your SO contact uscis.

Most countries only require one police document. Not one for every state, province or county you lived in. There are some exceptions but that link should let you know if you are one.

Incorrect. Police reports are required for any place lived in for more than 6 months since age 16. Check the recip table linked above to see how to obtain your reports. Many countries will only produce a report if you request it before you leave. After that...it will be unavailable. Good luck!

For cr-1 it is over 12 months. Read the packet on the us embassy site unless it changed in the last couple of months. K-1 visas need police certificates anyplace they have spent 6 months or longer.

To the OP, if there is an qatar embassy in manila I would call them & see if it would be possible 2 get a clearance.

This is from the packet 3 for the immigrant visa found here at the bottom of the page titled IV visa interview preparation:

manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

8. OTHER COUNTRY POLICE CERTIFICATES. Applicants aged 16 years and older must also present police certificates from other countries where they have lived for one (1) year or more after reaching the age of 16. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, aliases or nicknames used while in the country in question, including different spellings you have used of those names. Country-specific information on how to secure police certificates is available on the State Department’s web site at http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_3272.html.
