I-485 rejected because of an outdated version of the form

question for a friend:

my friend got I-485 rejected because of an outdated version of the form,

she has to resubmit a new version of this form, but does she has to pay fee again?

Was it rejected or denied? If it's rejected they usually return it, along with the check. If it's denied, they just send a letter. If it was denied then she'll need to pay the fee again.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

it was rejected

If it's just been rejected then include the ORIGINAL rejection notice (keep a copy for yourself), do a new I-485 on the proper edition of the form, and resend. Just to be safe check the other forms as well.
