Do touches mean anything?

Touches don't really mean much in grand scheme of all. But I'd wager that a lot of touches means the person looking over the case is indecisive and is having a hard time deciding what to do. Perhaps they'll send request for more evidence. One or two touches are normal. Also many, many people get their approvals without any touches. The best thing you can do is look over Igor's List and get a feel for what is the current average time for approval. That usually will tell you when you can expect your approvals. Like I keep checking Igor's List and figuring out that the average days between NOA1 and NOA2 is 161 days. Lo and behold, I got my NOA2 in exactly 160 days.

You're up for your NOA2 any days now. Contact your Senator's office if you want to since 5 months has already passed for you.

Thank you Indigo, I have already sent email to the representative last night (Thanks to Loto)

I haven't had any touches on mine either, since just a few days after I received my NOA1.

I noticed lots of touches on some of the VJ'ers time-line here. Does this indicate that approval is right around the corner? I haven't had any touches since my NOA1 and i am beginning to worry if my case is collecting dust somewhere. :(:help::bonk:

I was little hopeful, but once i spoke to the USCIS Agent  today i am bit nervous  . He said call back if i don't hear anything in next 21 days. He couldn't tell me if my application is being reviewed or not. He said all he can tell is it's in initial review. God help me...

USCIS reps Tier1 are waste of time. A petitioner can reach to Tier2 is the elapsed time is more than 180 days from the filing date to current date.

Some Tier1 will be rude and will not transfer to Tier2. Don't be upset. Keep on trying and one Tier1 will be helpful.

Also, as I told you congressional enquiry will have update in a week for you.

I think all who filed in Novemeber and December are receiving the same thing when you log into USCIS. From what I have been told it doesn't hinder the process..
