Hey Dallas-ites! I know... we have all been waiting for so long for our biometrics appointments, etc...

This thread is dedicated to us so that we can share info, and compare time lines. How are the May/June filers doing? Are all of the July filers still waiting for biometrics? How about August and September filers - where are y'all at in this process?

I had just posted in the JULY AOS thread that I spoke with an IO and they are booking out, 60 days over normal processing times at ASC for biometrics. And, 485 cannot be approved until biometrics are complete. Approval can take 6months - 1 year, and is not considered outside normal processing times until 1 year has passed!

This is truly crazy... :wacko::crying:

07-24-10 NOA received in the mail for AOS/EAD and hubby received AP for me :)

07-26-10 TOUCHED!!!

08-06-10 EAD & Alien Petition TOUCHED!!!

08-24-10 Service request submitted for Biometrics Letter.. waiting, waiting...

09-01-10 2nd service request call put in - Dallas ASC backed up and everything is on hold! :(

09-03-10 Infopass appointment set for September 17th

09-03-10 EAD TOUCHED!!! I might not need my Infopass appt. after all!

09-07-10 Another touch for EAD

09-08-10 EAD TOUCH again! woo hoo!

09-17-10 InfoPas appt @9am. EAD APPROVED on Sept 2.. but still waiting for biometrics

09-20-10 3rd service request to USCIS, escalated to IO. still no bio appt

09-28-10 AP sent to Chicago Lockbox

09-29-10 4th service request to USCIS, useless convo with IO

09-30-10 AP received and signed by USCIS, J.Chyba

10-04-10 Another useless convo with IO

10-06-10 Letter sent to Congressman

10-10-10 Letter sent to Senator

10-11-10 AP Touch

10-13-10 Email received, AP approved :)

10-15-10 Useless SECOND Infopass appt. and useless AP without biometrics

10-16-10 I-512L AP Doc arrived in the mail

10-18-10 Another USELESS call to USCIS

10-19-10 Got my biometrics appt for Nov 3rd!!! early walk in complete 10-20 *SEE ABOUT ME PAGE FOR MORE TIMELINE INFO!*

I'm sorry you (we) "Dallas Filers" have to wait this long. I filed my wife's AOS the first part of Sep and I'm already getting impatience waiting for the BIO appointment letter. I keep hearing that the Dallas Center is backed up, but that doesn't make me feel any better. I hope you get yours soon, you have been waiting forever. People keep saying that the process takes about four months, I bet you they received their appointments within a reasonable amount of time. Anyways bro, i wish you luck and hopefully the Dallas Center personnel start pushing cases faster. I will wait a couple more weeks, and if I don't hear anything, I will start making some phone calls. I'm DOD employee working in Iraq and i know some people that might be able to help me. I don't wanna go around the system, but if the system has a weak link, i might have to step over the weak link.....Later ........ :thumbs:

Hi there! We filed in May & it took FOREVER to get the biometrics appointment letter. It'll come eventually though! Timeline in signature - we filed early May and didn't have biometrics appt til July. What's so weird is when we went to the ASC there was hardly anyone there! A few people in front of us. I wonder if they are just short staffed - it took much longer than I felt like it should have considering how few people were in the waiting room.

We're still in the process - we got an RFE 4 months after filing b/c our medical from Kenya was lost. Ugh. So we're dealing with that, hoping for speedy approval when we can get it back in (we are hoping to overnight it on Oct 16...this is the earliest since Sifa has to see a pulmonologist to get a chest x-ray read and the 15th is their first appt.) Hopefully it's faster for some of y'all!

We mailed in the AOS packet 8/30/10, NOAs received 9/16/10 and did Biometrics 10/4/10. Just waiting for the EAD now =/
