I'm a USC and would like to bring my parents here. The problem is that few years ago, the US embassy has issued a letter banning my father from visiting USA for 99 years for fraudulent documents and jailed & later released on bail. Now that I am a US citizen, can he still be brought here? Is there any appeals or anything that needs to be done for taking care of such ban letters? Do you recommend hiring lawyers? i ask of any links of similar cases.. How do you handle such case? please help needed..as i dont know where to go from here... :crying:

any help will be appreciated.

There is no way to prove hardship in a child to parent relationship like there is in a spousal one. And if they jailed him for whatever fraudulent documents it must have been a rather big thing that even having a spouse citing hardship probably wouldn't work

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

fake passport (also claiming father of someone else). Caught at the airport(asia)..

It is a lifetime bar not 99 years.

He would need a qualifying relative to file a waiver.

so filing i-130 is useless? can you tell me more about the waiver. plz..

You do not qualify for the waiver. A parent/child is not covered under this waiver

I'm sorry - he won't be able to come to the US with you as a sponsor

No attorney or whoever, whatever can change his red-flag status... Sorry, but these are the consequences he and the family has to deal with because of his actions...
