I know a touch can mean many things, but im just curious as to others experience. I got my first touch on July 27 2010, second on August 2nd 2010, and now two months later on october 10th 2010. Mind you i previously had a denied application due to not sending in any required documentation (long story)and now both of them have been touched on 10/03/2010.

so assuming someone is working on my file as opposed to just moving them from one place to another (since both files have been touched), how long would the average file take to go from a touch to an NOA2?

Im praying for a speedy one as i have a trip in November to the Phillippines and it would be nice for her to be able to fly back with me or at least for me to go to her interview with her.

Thanks in advance :)

I think you're a little over-optimistic on the interview and most likely on her coming back with you.

A touch could also mean they spilled coffee on it and had to move it for that.

A touch means nothing and multiple touches mean nothing also. We had no touches and were approved. So touches mean just that and nothing at all more. They are in no way a predication of any future events.

 I'm sure it was just a typo. Maybe they meant October '10 (as in, 2010)

OR, alternatively, Maxx121 is actually from the future.

Who knows??

if only he was from the future and worked for CSC

@Maxx121 dont worry vermont has been SPEEDY compared to csc

Check out the July, August or September VSC filers threads. ALL of us got touched on 10/03. It looks like the first July filer got their NOA2 a couple of days ago, so you might be soon!

Based on your comment i just checked mine and it was touched yesterday as well since 8/5/10.They received mine on 7/29/10.

I know the wait is hard... but there is no way your going to be at the interview nor is she going back to the u.s. with you in Nov. Even if it got approved today and only spend a few hours at nvc like mine did... your still looking at a long wait before she even gets the first letter from the consulate... let alone an appointment for the interview. Don't set yourself up for disappointment... the process is already full of it. So just sit back and enjoy your time together and get ready for the consulate stage.
