Ube Ice Cream

Whenever my husband and I visit Seafood City, we do not miss to grab ube hopia. We ran out of ube ice cream recently so we bought Selecta Ube Royale, too. It's strange because when we eat ube ice cream, our cat really leaves anything that he's doing and starts asking for his share. I guess this shows how delectable ube ice cream is-- a favorite Filipino flavor.

Had some ube ice cream for the first time when I was in the Philippines recently. While I it was very tasty, my all time favorite is still pistachio ice cream. Wish I could have found some there and introduce my fiancée to its wonderful flavor.

Love Ube Ice Cream. My niece here in the US once tried Ube Ice Cream and said "This purple ice cream taste like choco cereal" She liked it though and asked for more

Selecta sells pistachio ice cream (which is also my favorite).

There is also a gelato place on Pasay Road that sells it. Amici's, it's near Don Bosco Makati. They have one in SM City, too (in Quezon City).

Hubby really likes ube ice creme when he first tasted it when he was in Manila. So when i came here, we went to a filipino store nearby and as expected he grab his ube ice creme!
