Comon man ....You are panic , so what should i do ...die ?.....its been 9 months since my NOA1 and even got a RFE and LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG RFE and its taking me forever to collect it to send it back to them...and then i will be waiting for approval Inshallah and then NVC then to embassy then wait for interview then wait for visa.

Be thankful man..you are lucky.

Sam

I just can't see how this statement is supposed to be inspirational or even positive for that matter? I mean we all have legitimate concerns here but this was just plain rude!

If this is an attempt to be inspirational , i'd say it failed and should be kept to one's self.

LeslienScott, as Vero and Chris say, we are here to support you.

You will have it soon and i'm sure we will all help in any way we can.

I agree - I really don't see what SamOnline posted as any sort of inspiration at all...just kinda comparing how easy LeslienScott have it compared to him.

Good luck LeslienScott - I'm sure you'll get it any day now!

Hang in there Leslie.

Keep pushing by emailing Montreal and using your congresswoman. Hopefully all of the attention will finally get Montreal to get it's act in order.

Also as Vero and Chris posted it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep checking Canada Post tracking. It certainly wouldn't be unusual to find out Montreal doesn't know what's going on...maybe it's already on its' way. Fingers crossed for you!

It's also worthwhile to note that they do tell you it can take up to TWO WEEKS [ie 14 business days] to get your visa out to you.

You said that it has been 10 days, so you are not "technically" over the time that they say it can take.

But that doesn't mean it's any less frustrating or worrysom.

However, I would still keep calling and emailing, make sure you explain that "AFTER" your approval you made arrangements with their two week guideline in mind,

and that you direly NEED your visa there ASAP becuase you won't have a place to stay, etc.

Keep trying it doesn't hurt.

Good luck and I really hope it works out for you, sending all the positive vibes your way! =)

Actually, it has only been about 5-6 business days since the interview. It'll probably be on its way soon. :)

Oh my goodness, there is a forum for venting:wacko: use it. Everyone on here is anxious to be with our husbands or wives and has a right to ask questions as well as vent. Lets not take it out on one another. We are adults here.... no wonder kids act out!

I hope Leslie and Scott you receive it soon! Sam go and vent off topic and lots of people will sympathize ... we're all tired of waiting for the square wheel to roll!:sleepy:

Thank you to my kind Canadians, who offered nothing but kind words & advice.

Thank you Sam for making me feel even crappier.

The reason I started this thread was because I know that my fellow Canadians, whether they are K1 or CR1 applicants, they all are going to Montreal, & know the stress of the snails pace that they deliver. We have all felt happiness or sadness with each other throughout this whole process. The advice that everyone has given has been powerful & I feel grateful to each & everyone of you.

Now my update...still nothing. Another call to DOS & many, many, many checks on the Canada Post website. Here's to day 11 or business day 7...

Hey LeslienScot, one thing also that most people seemed to agree with is that Canada Post can be somewhat unreliable - yeah I know, helps A LOT. Check in the morning and in the evening on their site. I remember checking on a Friday and nothing was there, and then I checked again that same day at like 6:30 and it was on there...

Stay positive and strong, it's almost done!

what did his congressman's aide say? or are you waiting on that..

i wonder if there are a couple CO's there who are making a pattern of dragging feet when it comes to printing?

montreal appears to feel justified in their snail pace, why not let it leak into the visa turnaround after interview as well huh..

I know how you feel Leslie,

my interview was near the end of the month and my landlord had already rented my place and kept asking me when ni was moving out. i asked him for 2 weeks til the 10th or so of april just in case and every day he kept calling me asking me if i got my visa yet. I was so worried i'd have to stay at a hotel or something to wait for my visa.

and it took a while with the holidays too with can post being closed and the consulate so i was going nuts lol. then i found out canada post had a glitch and could not track my passport so i was extra freaked!

but i did get it! i had a really nice post lady and post office near my place and i called them and they called me back when they had it to let me know it was out for delivery!

so hang in there i'm sure you will get it!

Maybe you just wrote your tracking number down wrong?

Now - not trying to alarm you even more, but our interview was last week and they put ours in the mail yesterday? So, MAYBE they put a big batch of them in and yours is on the way too?? :)

You are probably the rudest poster I see on here, Sam. I have yet to read a post of yours where you're actually helping someone instead of putting them down.

And the posts have been removed, so nevermind.

To the OP, I am sure everything will work out just fine. Keep venting, that's what we're here for!

The trouble isn't with Canada Post. It is with MTL. They haven't even issued it yet. What can possibly be the hold up? DOS said yesterday an approval doesn't guarantee anything. #######???
