its just the stress, the stress we go through as individuals in every day life is just nearly unbearable ( our schedules are hectic, his due to his job, mine to my education ) now add to that the stress of this process, the stress of a long term long distance relationship, and the pressure and the stress of the distance, and people constantly asking about how things are going and if our case has gone through yet,its just a recipe for disaster.im just really torn part,to sum it up,i need a break from being me,dealing with the things i deal with.

thanks tho, good luck to you too,i really do hope this is your month

That's what gets me too....people constantly asking. I know that everyone's curious and they mean well, but it is hard. It's hard to deal with constant questions and constantly having to tell people how we make our long distance relationship work because it's worth it for us. Don't get me wrong, it totally is, I love my Tomislav more than anything in the world but no matter how many times we say goodbye, it doesn't get any easier, waiting for the next time we see each other doesn't get any easier and it's frustrating to not be with the one you love. When everythings crazy and I have a stressful day, all I want is to be with him and between crazy work schedules and time differences, we barely have time to even Skype anymore. But anyway, there's a reason why we do it and a reason for our need to be patient...and my reason is definitely worth it :)

9/21/10--I-129F mailed to Dallas

9/29/10--NOA1 (email and text message)

9/29/10--Check cashed

10/1/10--NOA1 hardcopy received (dated 9/27 and sent to VSC)

10/3/10--Touched (everyone touched)

10/4/10--Touched!

04/19/11-NOA2!! (FINALLY! After 204 days)

Major change of plans - the wait was too long for us and I ended up moving to Croatia in June 2011.

Married 06/09/12 <3

9/3/12 - I-130 NOA1

i completely understand what you mean, like i want to get " if there was an update i wouldnt be here talking to your dumb ####,i would be celebrating or dying of a heart attack " tattoo on my forehead.people know how hard it is for middle easterns ( im iranian )to obtain a visa, let alone when the service centers are being slow as hell, there is no reason in asking.

you know i think im upset, mainly because well...i didnt expect this to take this long,it has been four months since the last time we saw eachother, and we thought well...they will go through June packages in September, and July packages in October, worst case scenario.

but day by day we are losing hope.i would honestly feel better if i saw people getting approved,at least i would know we are next.

plus i keep thinking, what if after all this they slap us in the face with a RFE? :bonk:

I feel so pathetic... Since I've been checking Igor's list many times a day, seeing a new pair of names above BOB and SHARAN made me yelp! And I still know I will probably go past my 5 month date before anything happens for me.

But then pessimism has always brought me pleasant surprises, so who knows.

In any case, I sincerely hope you 81 June filers get approved in record time, so I'm next in the queue! Honestly, I wouldn't wish this waiting game on my worst enemy. At least my honey is coming out to see me in 29 days! It's when you get those first hugs and kisses that you know this process is worth it.

Go California GO!!!!!

A little bit of discouraging news I got from the call center today regarding CSC:

I called and spoke to a representative named Christian. At first he didn't give me any more information than I could get from checking status updates online, and he was clearly just reading standard answers to me from his computer screen. I explained the situation and tried to press him for a little bit more information. He then told me that CSC was currently working on cases dated April 16th. I believe someone else here on VJ had called and got the exact information and posted it here about 1-2 weeks ago, which if that information is correct it means they basically haven't progressed *at all* in the last couple of weeks. He also said to expect a wait of at least another 42 days! I don't know if he meant that our case wouldn't be looked at for another 42 days or not to expect an approval for another 42 days...I should have asked but at that moment I was nearly in tears.

My gawd this is killing me. Our NOA1 was dated May 27th. I know we all need to wait our turn and it will happen when it happens, but :crying:

Yeah, I knew it was gonna be a long wait, but I think the possibility of it going over 5 months really got me down - that and knowing that the embassy I'm going to be dealing will likely be a difficult one, plus having lived there and knowing things take 20 times longer then they need to. Even if by some miracle we got approved today, I'm still betting on another 3-4 months before we even get an interview. Of course I'm trying to stay optimistic and hope for the best, but also kind of expecting the worst at this point.

you know, hope for the best, expect the worst.

my problem is,since there is not US embassy in iran i applied for ankara, and its a really busy consulate, now that all the packages are stuck in service center they will burst out at one point and it will get even busier, gosh i wish they would do their damn job.(PS: you guys are an adorable couple,i really hope you go through soon )

i got in this visa process, thinking things will be black or white, with no sense of sympathy for others, but now that i see others regardless of their nationality are stuck in the same boat as us,im really starting to feel for them.

on another note does anyone know why CSC is being so slow?

I just wish we had applied two months earlier, maybe we would have escaped this madness. I'm a July filer too, and every week that goes by and I see people in May still waiting I realize I may go well into 2011 without him here. We were hoping for an April wedding, guess the odds of that happening now are slim.
