Oh yea, I saw that. Something definitely is happening. The first July VSC filer (that we know of) got their NOA2 recently. Big news considering no one had heard anything in a LONG time. It's nice to know VSC didn't burn to the ground or anything like that. :)

I am four months into the process. I hope to get an approval in the next one to two months. My wife and I decided that I would not visit while we are in the process to save money but after many months, the wait is really wearing on us. We really miss each other. I have almost all my documents ready for NVC. With my luck I will get an RFE or something and the process will take 2 lifetimes.

Let me say...if they take the K1's out of the closet and get to work...THEY can BLOW thru these things very very quickly...If you are as ####### as I am..just look at Igors timeline for VSC in late Feb 2010..you will see a common date of the Noa 2 is in late May...from there they scream thru the K1 cases at about 10 days for every month.....by July Noa 1 ..they are approving in as little as 3 weeks!!!!.... And then go basically silent till now...If they start this sucker running again like that...a first of Sept Noa 1 will get their Noa 2 by the first of November !!!

There is hope !!!!

finally a October approval from yesterday..Just watch the explosion coming!!!....I bet that by Oct 15 they will be almost thru the July cases!!

It's nice to be optimistic, but I think that's a little unrealistic. Essentially NO June filers have been approved yet, and keep in mind, VJ represents only a small portion of people that actually file petitions. There are MANY, MANY more people that filed in June that are not on VJ.

I'm not saying you're wrong - it could happen. Just that it probably won't. But, it would be nice!

Sorry but in the post I was refering to VSC/ Vermont.....they have completed most of June and are in the first week of July...the "explosion" was for this branch...I apologize if someone didnt understand that..not that my feeble hope will have any influence on the outcome anyway.

I didn't realize you were talking about VSC, I just assumed CSC because of the thread topic... I must admit, I don't follow that service centre very closely! Hopefully they do make it through June & July quickly! ... then send some of that determination to CSC!

and, for what it's worth, I don't think hope necessarily has to be about outcomes, but about how we perceive situations. I think your optimism is a good thing in this process.

This process is possibly the most stressful and frustrating thing I have ever been through. Truly a test of true love. I am part of the collective mass of touches but i really dont think this has bearing on the speed of the NOA2 as nearly all got touches, even very very recent filers. Im guessing they have batched July/Aug and Sept together and moved us to another room/ box. That or the system has been programmed to run a automatic update on a particular day ( would explain the wierdness of a sunday) and i think it was a mass update of outstanding petitions. As much as I would love to think it could be them moving, i am feeling a little scepticle about it as i am really not sure it means anything on such a big scale

We didn't get touched on 10/03. Feel your frustration though.

What's up with the collective touch? A touch means absolutely nothing. I don't even think it is worth updating. Maybe I am wrong? Is there a correlation between a "touch" and a tangible action of some kind? Can someone explain what a "touch" is?

It was only for Vermont filers.

I don't think anybody knows what the collective touch at VSC was about. It didn't happen at CSC. No one can be sure the touch even meant anything, perhaps the server went down and had to be rebooted or something, resulting in everyone's file being "updated." I don't know if you signed up for an account on uscis.gov, but when you do, it'll show you your I-129F petition and a "last updated" section. Every time that date changes but your case status didn't change (i.e. NOA2, RFE), it means you got "touched." Someone scanned the barcode on your file. That's all we can be sure it means, as we don't know if someone actually worked on your case or not.
