how to edit a topic? is it possible??

I made a topic and want to edit it? Can I edit the topic words? if so how? Is is possible to edit the body of the post?

there is a 5 minute window for members on editing posts and topic titles. mods can edit a thread title for you. only admin can edit (remove) parts of a post.

On a similar note, is 5 minutes the time frame for two responses in a row in a topic to be joined? I have sometimes responded twice to a topic dealing with two more separate issues and have found them to have magically joined themselves together.

If you write another response to the same topic before the 5 minute edit window is closed, it (VJ) assumes that you meant to edit your post, and adds it to the bottom.
