The I-129F was received on 7/29/2010. The last time it was touched was 8/3/2010, just four days after they received it. It's now two months later since the last time it was touched. Is this normal. I'm really nervous about this. When i call i just get the recording telling me that they received it on the 29th of July. What should i do?

Our timeline was kinda normal. Use ours as a guide. You're stressing over nothing. Relax and enjoy.

You are still well, well within the 5 month processing time.

Nothing much you can do right now. Just hope that they get to box, that your petition is sitting in, soon.

Relax it will take roughly 6-8 months for her to get approved with out any snags. MY co-worker just got approved last month he filed in March this year same country.

Thanks guys it just helps to hear from other people that it's normal. Part of the problem is that my fiancee talked to her friend that recently came to the US on a fiancee visa and she told my fiancee that it only took 1 month for their I-129F because her husband followed up on it a lot. I don't know if that girl is lying about it taking only 1 month or if they just got extremely lucky, but now my fiancee thinks i'm not following up on it enough.

I know it's within the 5 month processing time, i was just nervous because they aren't even touching it and i didn't want to wait 5 months to find out that they lost it 2 months ago. I guess what i'm saying is that i know it's normal for the processing time to take 5 months i just don't really know what's normal for the 'touches'.

"Checking in a lot" on a petition doesn't have any baring on how fast it gets approved. Your friend sounds like they just got extremely lucky.

FWIW, the vast majority of early June filers (California service center) on this site still have not received their NOA2s.

I don't think the term " touches " and " normal " can really be used together unfortunately. Your file may be touched 3 or 4 times before approved or it may not ever be touched before the approval.

The website updates are not a guarantee of any kind.

Sit back and relax a couple more months. There are plenty more ahead of you from June and July that will be processed before yours(more than likely).

What the recent approvals here for CSC and when you see updates, that is a sign they are moving again.

We filed our I-129F in late October 2009, and got approved in early January 2009. It's still a little early to expect to hear from them. 2.5 - 3.5 months would be more normal. 2 months would be unusually fast.

Well, from what everyone has told me i guess i've kind of figured out a couple of things. First, looking at the touches doesn't really tell anything it's just fun to see. Second, the touches themselves aren't really indicative of anything.

Thanks everyone for your responses.
