biometrics receipt number

hi all,

about two weeks ago I received my Biometrics letter and I checked my receipt number on the USCIS website, but the number does not work. should I wait until I attend to the biometrics appointment or should I call the USCIS 1800 number

Eh, receipt numbers are never really reliable. What I mean by that is sometimes they update your number in the system and sometimes they don't. Keep checking daily and when it does finally become available online (if it does) then sign up for case updates. It's usually within 30 days after the biometrics.

using the biometrics receipt number is the correct one. It looks like your not in the system yet, so just give it a few days and try it again. I can't remember what number to write in, and I think you need to include/exclude some of the characters in the number - someone can shed some light on this....
