Xoom Coupon for the month of October

I would like to ask if somebody has used xoom lately and was able to apply a coupon? I'd like to save few bucks.

Me too. I have tried several from my sources but all of them won't work. But I noticed that they have extremely lower their rates. Used to be, when I send more than $500 it'll cost me 20.00 something bucks for the processing fee, and that is using my credit card, but now using it, for only $13.75.

I use it tied in to a bank account. Used to be only $5.00 but notice they just raised it to $7.99.

Sent money yesterday and it's $7.99.Why would they do that? :no: Like their business cuz it's convenient but if the keep raising the fee, then maybe it's time to go run to local LBC.

Can you translate LBC? Lately, I have been sending very frequently. I was using xoom and went back to western union.

I have been using Xoom every month for over a year. Sometime back Xoom stopped giving out coupons and even went as far as to put the word out (more like a warning) to the coupon websites such as coupon cabin, etc that they ARE NOT to publish Xoom's coupons to the general public any more. I guess Xoom was not making as much money anymore. And you are correct, they did raise their rates. I use a Credit Card because the transfer is immediate. Using a Bank Account will save you a lot but it can take as much as 5 days to be available. Compare prices to WU and others because the comparisons to Wu on Xoom's website is not necessarily comparing apples to apples. I just won't use WU ever again due to some problems I and others had with them some time back.

I went compare their rate. Using debit/credit card as a mode of payment..

WU- $12.00

XOOM- 13.99

I'd go to WU for now, until they pick up their head that they are HIGH!

The longest I have waited for it to clear my bank is one day (weekend). Usually it gets approved within a hour max. I am not sure if the amount of money makes a difference.

JRmejia, I don't think there is a translation for LBC, I'm not sure though if it has branches in your area,there is one down the street from my house where I can send money for as low as 3bucks and will be there in 5seconds.You can go to WWW.LBCEXPRESS.COM LBC is a Philippine based money remittance, courier,cargo and balikbayan box center.

I went to LBC website, I don't think you can send money online. Or do I really have to go to an agent to do this?

Yes, debit cards process the same as a Credit card. The Bank Account option is an electronic check drafted off of your checking account and that it where the delayed pickup as well as the cheapest prices are.

Cutie, I am afraid your math is wrong. XOOM charges $9.99 for debit/credit card as mode of payment, according to their website.
