In layman terms, we do a hell of a lot better job in running world renowned cities. Therefore, have an excellent track record of knowledge regarding generating growth and improving Q.O.L for all.

what's this "we" stuff?

your first statement shows your ignorance. In a good economy, you want a low cost of living.

Look at this from a proper perspective.

3500 sq foot house -

$200,000 USD in Texas

OR

$500,000 in Melbourne

Let's pretend everything is the exact same about the houses... hmmmm, which one am I going to buy?

You need money to be able to purchase homes at that price. Property prices reflect supply and demand, hence Detroit.

You are missing the point though. We have two diametrically opposed ideologies and polices in action, in advancing an economy and your average Joe. One has delivered sound results, with the lowest unemployment amongst the OECD, even in this global crisis. The other has delivered yeeha cowboys and Enrons. May the best man [or approach] win does not seem to apply to libertarians or tea-party types, you guys prefer to stick with baseless and often dangerous ideologies; furthermore refuse to listen to reason of any sort. You have made up your mind the less government or no government is the answer and basically ignore otherwise; treating politics as if it's the equivalent of rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.

what's this "we" stuff?

Well I was reminded a while back that I am not America, therefore, I am Australian. Hence "we".

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Those pictures proved that? And what do you mean "we"? Oh, I know, Boston isn't a world renowned city. Fail.

I didn't say Boston was not renowned, as it renowned for its scholars. Interestingly enough though, DC has the largest number of educated Americans, even more than Boston. Nevertheless, in terms of Q.O.L offered and the overall services and infrastructure, it does not rankly highly when directly compared to others around the world; as do not most US cities. Face it, you have been beaten and epically might I add. How do you like those apples? ;)

Using the three separate rankings illustrated in the following link, where does Boston rank? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World%27s_most_livable_cities

These are not some childish [spook grade] irrelevant articles either, they are direct comparisons of world cities.
