It's a confusing question, because in some places it says "current annual income" which would suggest the annual income from the current job, whereas other times it says "expected income for the current year", which would indicate whatever your income will be for the year 2010. Hopefully someone will be able to give a definitive answer.

However, I can say that if the income of both the present and past jobs is sufficiently high, it won't matter exactly what you put here. There is no "perfect" answer anyway, as you cannot know your income for sure until the year ends. However if the new job has a much higher wage than the former job, you will want to include supporting evidence from this job, such as pay checks etc., to explain why your estimated income is higher than that shown in your tax returns.

Most will suggest the 'current income' is what the person is currently earning when the form is completed (this would be the 'new' job since they would no longer work-at nor earn an income from the previous one in all likelihood).

Current annual income would be multiplying their new/current pay by the number of those pay-periods in a year (weekly, every two weeks, monthly etc.).
