Hello to all,

I was perusing some of the forums and found a post about Igor's list. I filed our I-129f in late July and got our NOA1 on August 6th. I know that the USCIS website and many others say to expect about 5 months for a NOA2. However, upon looking at many others timelines and also on Igor's list it looks like there is no ryme or reason to how long it takes to be approved. I see some that have been approved in as little as 30 days or so, and there are some that have took well over the projected 5 months. I can understand the approvals that took a bit longer maybe due to an RFE, or for someone who has a very common last name. So.... is there any chance that a person that has a obscure last name and a clean background to be approved sooner than 5 months ?

Yeah, I'm sure is a 'reason' for the timeline of every single case...but we'll probably never know what it is. Our I-130s went into a big black box and nobody outside of that box knows when it will spit out a result.

Yes..as the history of Igors List shows...they work on the K1 visa in spurts...of course there will always be a few exceptions whose case takes longer...and most of the people now who are expedited are active duty military.

Early this year the people who got a Noa1 in Feb...got their Noa2 within only a few weeks of the people from June...it just depend upon how many people are assigned to K1...since they often rotate to other visas.

A big thank you to all that have replied !! I had a repatable service prepare our papers. The gentleman at the service told me that there would be about 5 months before much of anything happens. When I started looking at Igor's list, I got all excited !! I was thinking to myself " WOW !! maybe she will be here for the holidays !!!" But, I should probably know better than to get that wound up. After all she has to interview at the consulate in HCM city. I will be lucky if she is here by next December !! hahaha!!!
