Where to send I-129F Form...

Hey all...

Really new to this as we are completing the initial pack as I type. Literally! Firstly want to say that this site, since discovering earlier today has already been a huge huge help, so thanks!

I have read a lot of people talk about sending the I-129F form to the relevant Service Centre (Cali, Vermont etc) but the form and the instructions clearly say to send it direct to the USCIS in Dallas. Can someone confirm what this is about? Or did I totally miss something?

Our story so far...

Nov 2009 - Met for the first time whilst I was on tour in Cali

Mar 2010 - After staying in touch, met for a few nights at a trade show - It was very real!

Jul 2010 (Independance Day) - Met in San Diego. Knew we were meant to be together

Sep 2010 - Met in San Diego. Knew we wanted to spend our lives together. Started making plans.

Sep 27th 2010 - Found out that we were expecting a baby. Plans bought forward significantly! :-) Happiest man in the world.

Oct 12th 2010 - Sent I-129F pack to USCIS

Oct 19th 2010 - NOA1 Received

Nov 2010 - Spent a week with my lady in the UK

Dec 23rd 2010 - Battled with UK snow and Heathrow's incompetence to spend Xmas with my family

Dec 24th 2010 - Attended first scan and discovered we are expecting a baby boy!

Jan 9th 2011 - Left home to come back to the UK

Jan 21st 2011 - Requested Expedite from USCIS on medical grounds

Jan 27th 2011 - Expedite request approved.

Feb 2nd 2011 - NOA2 Received

Feb 3rd 2011 - Application left NVC to go to London. LDN number received.

Feb 9th 2011 - Packet 3 sent out

Feb 16th 2011 - Packet 3 sent to Embassy

Feb 18th 2011 - Requested expedite on interview

Feb 24th 2011 - Packet 3 forms logged

Feb 28th 2011 - Medical

Mar 1st 2011 - London Consular wrote with confirmation of an early interview. In 4 days time! PANIC! Woke up fiancé!

Mar 4th 2011 - Interview...APPROVED!!!

Until recently the I-129F's were sent direct to the service centres based on your location, now I believe they all go to Dallas to be forwarded onto the relevant service centre from there :D The change happened earlier this year so a lot of older posts refer to direct posting as that is what we did.

01.20.2011 Posted in AOS, EAD and AP documentation

01.25.2011 Signed for in Chicago

01.31.2011 NOA1s x 3 produced

02.08.2011 NOA1s x 3 hard copies received

02.22.2011 Transferred to CSC

02.28.2011 Biometrics done Fort Worth, Tx

03.18.2011 EAD/AP approved for production

03.24.2011 2 year conditional Green Card approved for production

03.28.2011 EAD/AP card received in the mail

03.29.2011 Welcome to the United States of America letter received in the mail

03.30.2011 Green Card received in the mail.

Removal of Conditions

01.19.2013 Posted I-751 and supporting documentation

01.26.2013 Package delivered to VSC

01.28.2013 NOA1 produced

01.29.2013 Check for filing fee and biometrics cashed

02.02.2013 NOA1 received

02.07.2013 Notice of Biometrics appointment received

02.27.2013 Biometrics done

06.14.2013 10 year unconditional Green Card approved for production

06.19.2013 Congratulations letter received in the mail

06.21.2013 10 year unconditional Green Card received in the mail

Naturalization

07.03.2016 Posted N-400 and supporting documentation

The current instructions, which are gospel, say Texas.

Texas Texas Texas.

Used to be other places but now it is Texas.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
