Hi all,

1- My wife's uncle is the only co-sponsor for I-864. He is making 107,000 /year. His wife makes 40,000/year. Does he need to send me a bank statement showing his savings or a letter from his company will be enough?

N.B: My wife is living with me in Canada and she is only making 6,000 a year

2- We will use his address as the address we intend to live in after we move to the states. Would it be better if he signed a lease agreement or writing a letter stating that we will live with him will be enough?

Regards,

Ahmed

As your wife's income is low,so you will need a co-sponsor.As u said her uncle can be a co-sponsor.He has to show his Citizenship proof,Current annual income from employer ,last 3 years of tax returns including W2s. And if possible ,if he willing to give you his bank statement or Bank Letter then it will be nice, otherwise there will be no problem.

2- We will use his address as the address we intend to live in after we move to the states. Would it be better if he signed a lease agreement or writing a letter stating that we will live with him will be enough?

Yes,you can write his address as your intending address. Writing a letter that "they will live with us " will be fine.

Er Neal
