I-485 Approval Question

Hello - I have a question. My I485 application was received on May 27, 2010. I already received my travel document and my 2 year EAD permit. According to the INS website, the last case for I485 applications (emplyment-based) was processed on March 30,2010 (as of July 31,2010)at the Texas Service Center.

Do you know how much longer it may take to hear the final decision?

The average waiting time across all USCIS Service Centers is 4 months; in some cases it can be longer. Hopefully yours will be approved without an interview. Do you have an account on the USCIS website? If not, visit the site, and click on Sign-up for Case Updates, and follow the instructions.

You may want to edit your timeline so that other members may be able to help you better; knowing some basic information about you, like what country of origin you have and what visa you are adjusting status from, would be a start. His AOS is employment based. Most people on this forum are immigrating through family, though there are some here with Employment-based AOS petitions (and OP, you are posting in the correct forum). Hopeully they will come along and have some better answers for you. Sorry, I have none.

This is why I think employment-based AOS and concurrent I-130/I-485 AOS should have separate forums. Their processes are just as different as adjusting from K visas and filing concurrent I-130/I-485.
