Stupid question, how do I change the profile info at the left to say I filed for AoS instead of K-1? I changed it on my timeline so not sure what else I can do. lol I want to forget about the whole terrible K-1 process!

It's under your profile settings, rather than under the timeline.

Got the NOA hardcopies in the mail today. And ours were all open as well! Now if only our case numbers would show up online...

Had the Bio Appointment today in Seattle, WA. It took two hours to get there with our lovely rain today.

About 15 minute wait to be called. My wife is taking my last name so we had to provide proof (marriage certificate) which had to be verified by a immigration officer.

My daughter was completed in about 20 minutes. Took well over an hour for the name verification.

Now hurry up and wait for the EAD and AP.

Got our hard copies of the NOAs this morning and the cheque was cashed this afternoon. Now just waiting on the biometrics

Update : Yesterday, we received the notice for the biometrics appointment, November 10.

Can I walk in alone or my husband has to accompany me ?

Also, is the I 797 and the valid ID enough ( this is what is says on the notice ! ) or should I bring with me more ( someone mentioned marriage certificate ! ) ?

You could go alone to the appointment. I brought my entire application package. Needed to complete a worksheet for them and I got information from my package. The information I referenced looks like it was on the appointment sheet, I saw that after I had completed the worksheet for them. I need MSC case numbers, and my wife’s social security number. The worksheet was English and would have been difficult for my wife and daughter to complete. They needed a copy of my marriage certificate for the name change. We applied for my wife to take my married name to avoid the change fee later. It took about one hour for an officer to review the name change. Never saw the person doing the verification it was completed in a back office.

So short answer if you have all of your documents and do not have a problem with English you could go without your spouse.

My maiden name it' s gonna become my middle name and of course, I' ll take my husbands last name as my last name ! I' m not sure if this will cause complications. All the notifications are already addressed to me by my name, middle name ( maiden name ) and my last name ( husbands last name ).

Yes, mine shows up as " Acceptance " . ( On October 25, 2010, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case )

Ours didn't show up for 2 or 3 days after we got our hard copy NOAs.

We're still twiddling our thumbs waiting around for a biometrics letter. I hope it comes soon, because then I'll finally be able to shake the compulsion to email my husband every day asking if it came in the mail.
