Hey Everyone,

I sent my AOS to chicago last week and i just go the text messages and emails today saying that my application has been received.

The emails said that it has been received and has been routed to the National Benefits Center. What is this? And what happens next?

I just think contacting your congressman should be reserved for when something has gone wrong and you're outside processing times, not just because you're impatient. USCIS posts timelines for a reason

EAD approved for wife and daughter today 12/16/2010 recieved a text message advising to check online status. Says "On December 16, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days

They must have interoffice mail they send to other offices. Yours is not the first or the last to go to the wrong address. Lets pray for quick interoffice mail. :help:

Nope, they'll return it to you and you'll have to resubmit.

NOA1 will come in the mail, Biometrics appointment letter is typically the next step. Sit back and enjoy the wait :)

National Benefits Center= code for the place that they will process your GC. MSC (Missouri Service centre is mine as noted by the 3 letters at the beginning of receipt number.

K-3 Visa Interview Date : 2009-10-19 Approved POE: 2009-10-28 Emerson ND

2010-10-16: EAD in hand!

2010-10-23: SSN Received in normal post!!

2010-10-18(Day 1): Mailed again :)

2011-03-17(Day 159): Interview - Review file response

2011-03-18(Day 160): Card production email/text for Green Card!

2011-03-21(Day 163): Welcome to USA letter received

2011-03-22(Day 164): Another text for card production! Start printing GC?

2011-03-23(Day 165): Text/email moving into post decision activity! Mail GC?

2011-03-26(Day 168): GC in hand and done for 3-10 years depending on the citizenship decision...Still unsure!

Got my 3 NoAs today. Whoever is sealing envelopes at USCIS is awful lazy, they practically fell open. :wacko:

one of ours was open too! Odd...and sloppy.

7/21/10 - interview
8/27/10 - arrival in US
9/4/10 - wedding
10/2/10 - sent off AoS pack
12/27/10 - GC interview (approved)

1/11/10 - I-129F sent to California Service Center

1/19/10 - NOA1

2/18/10 - moved and changed address on USCIS site

2/19/10 - touched

3/10/10 - NOA2, hardcopy recieved 3/12

3/16/10 - Left NVC, recieved MNL case #

3/22/10 - USEM recieved

4/19/10 - Passed Medical

4/28/10 - Interview - Approved

4/30/10 - Picked up Visa and completed CFO

5/5/10 - POE - Honolulu, Hawaii

Oh, really ? This is new to me ! So, they process the paperwork in Missouri ? I thought they transfer it usually to California ! Bo, I guess I was wrong ! :blink:

They all go to the National Benefits Center first. Some people get sent to CSC from there. No one seems to know why/how they decide to send some cases to CSC and not others. Usually if you get sent to CSC you won't have an interview. But it's no guarantee.
