Congratulations to all of the October filers who finally got their GC. Now we can all relax till 2013 well end of 2012 Was reading all the posts and noticed a lot had their medicals missing by USCIS. Me too but not sure why you all had new ones done as they are valid for 12 months in most countries. I rang Australia and they emailed me a copy of the medical and I had the blood test and TB results in my x ray envelope and sent them to USCIS. I was approved in 2 weeks. Amazing I know and I agree with a previous post they should let us bring the medical all the way through and send it off with AOS then nothing would go missing.

Again congratulations to all and the very best to all of you.

It's valid for 12 months, yes, but I think in most countries they don't keep copies of people's medicals. And for us, the doctor in Ireland was so impossible to deal with the first time around that there was no point in contacting him again. We could get it done in just a couple days here and be FINISHED.

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with Local NYC CIS office. We had received out NOA on 10/15/2010 and my wife completed her biometrics on 11/24/2010.

The status on the website has not been touched since 11/26/2010 on initial review. We received our EAD on 12/23/2010

I understand this process can take a long time, but any shared experiences from follow New Yorkers would kindly be appreciated and comforting.

Thank you all :)

Still nothing on our case :( .. I guess NYC is just slower than other offices.

That sucks ludijay. Have you called USCIS to see if your file has even been sent to the NYC office yet? I'd try that first.

Have you placed a service request? Did it say something like "Please allow 60 days..." when you got the notice? I think if it's been longer than that you should try a service request.

@ slangofoil

No, I didn't place a service request, yet!

My I-90 was sent in on February 1 and the NOA is stated February 7.

On the NOA, there are no "estimated processing times" added.

I'll wait until the end of this month, in case nothing happens, I'll take action.

I'm worried because I don't know whether this wait is normal or not.

Sorry, I forgot that you got your card, but it had an error. I thought you were still waiting on receiving it after being approved. I think I've heard that it can take 6 months to get a replacement green card, sooo that sucks. I hope you don't have to wait that long!

:( Hi guys! I called Uscis and apparently one has to wait 190 days before placing a service request for the form I-90. At least this time, me and my hubby are together, married while waiting for the GC to come in the mail!

As long as you have been waiting for your replacement GC it's just plain crazy, I really hope that you get your G.C. soon and not have to

do a Service Request. You have been very patient and will keep you in my prayers.

I hope it comes soon! But at least you ARE approved and resident already. If you need documentation while waiting I think you can make an infopass appointment at your local office and get a I-551 stamp to prove you're a resident.

(F) Thank you! :)

I have an infopass for this Thursday morning. I'll get a I-551 stamp and see what they say.
