Big News for this October filer.

Two immigration officers came to our house today unannounced. I am of course at work. My mother that also lives at my house invited the officers in. They were there to see our home and that we indeed lived together and were married. They asked my mother some questions, Were we happily married, in love, etc.

They wanted to see our bedroom, bathroom, closet and my daughter’s bedroom.

They interviewed my wife and daughter as well.

Not a problem at all as we are married and do live there together of course.

Next Monday we were to hit the 60 days since our interview date and would have been able to open an investigation as to the case status with a 30 day response period.

So I assume we have overcome the final hurdle and should receive our approval soon.

Glad to see some movement in our case.

Hi everyone

Congrats Barbaraj. Great to seem some approvals still happening after looking wait.

It's shocking to have some strangers show up at hope but glad it worked out well. Any progress in this process is worth it. Our attorney mentioned that there are cases where people just show up at your door without notice

We had an interview back in January 5th and have heard nothing. I called the 800 number & keep getting agents that are reading a script with no news at all. So frustrating. Today some lady decided to open a service call with a 30 more days wait. It took everything in me to remain calm during that call but.I.guess they hold the key to our futures bummer

So the wait continues

Did you try infopass? I got RFE after the interview. I submitted the document soon, but my case on the web site had never updated. I called 800 number, she said I had to wait 60 days. One week later, I visited infopass. The officer said we can not see any update on the web site if our case is in local office and we have to visit the infopass to check the status. Then, the officer entered their internal system and he told me UCIS already made the decision "yesterday". I went back home and checked the web site soon, but the web site still says "initial review". later that day, my case on the web site was finally updated to card production. If you have not tried the infopass, I recommend you to visit there. You may be able to get more detail infomation.

Big News for this October filer.

Two immigration officers came to our house today unannounced.

Wow, that is nuts!! Hopefully, though, they saw what they needed to see and have proof enough that the relationship is real to hand down the approval post haste!!

Just quick congrats to the couples that have received their approvals, and also my thoughts and prayers for those who have not yet. I only wish I could offer some advice that would bring those approvals along quicker.

Our naturalization timeline
1/12/2015 - Application sent to Phoenix service center by USPS priority mail

1/14/2015 - Package received in Phoenix

1/16/2015 - NOA date (hard copy received 1/22)

Thank you, VisaJourney!!!!!
