I received an email from Uscis today. It looks like our case was transferred to California on December 22 ( I 485 application ) What exactly this means ? I' m sure this question was asked many times before, sorry !

Looking through all the post here a lot of people have been getting appointment letters for their AOS interview, in a very short time I know many are not in Missouri, but are there a few that have and just waiting for the day to come for interview. How soon did you get appointment letter after submitting AOS. Bio was done 22 Nov. 2010. By USCIS timeline they are working on applications back from July 2010, I hope this will not make a difference on my wife's interview, I know this has to do all with Kansas City Missouri. So maybe a few have been going through there recently.

Our appointment is 40 days after the BIO appointment. We received the letter for the interview about 30 days prior to the appointment for our interview.

Okay as of today I am 36 days after bio. When you first applied did it say 4 months processing time, now it goes back to July 2010.

You look to be about 3 weeks behind us. USCIS says 4 months for the approval process. We have been very close to the Visajourney timelines. When you look at the timelines you can search for similar timelines to yours. I would guess a end of Jan early Feb appointment for your interview.

Okay I am doing something wrong, when I look at similiar timeline it still shows K-1 Visa not AOS what am I doing wrong if someone can help

Why ? Why some have to have an interview and others not ? What is the " criteria " ? Which way is the fastest ? ( I received the NOA yesterday and it says the application was sent to California to speed up the process but I see certain interviews on here are set for early January ? )

Well guess I will start getting mail from USCIS again received I-797 for Interview 10 Feb 2011 for my wife.

Should start receiving I-797's For Advance Parole, and Employment. Still waiting for all documents for my stepson. Go figure no e-mails (touches) or status to let me know anything was coming in the mail.

We passed the interview on Monday! We got approved for the greencard.

Best of all, the interview only lasted 5 minutes. They asked for hardly anything. Mind you we had a very strong K1 application. We had lived together for several years in the UK.
