Guess what? We got our interview notice for AOS dated on January 19,2011... so happy that we finally received it!!:=)))

FYI.. I checked online almost everyday and kinda worried since no touches at all after our biometric schedule( AOS, EAD & AP.)And now..I got the precious mail..( Thanks God)!!

Oh! we never recieve any EAD and AP approval though;-)) Does anyone have the same case with us?

We got back an email yesterday for the service request saying that we pretty much just have to wait. I dont know why I just have a bad feeling that this is really going to hold up the ead. How did you check about the people in August who filed were waiting around 2 months?

I spent a good bit of time reading the August filers thread when I was planning to file our paperwork. There just happened to be a few people in that group who live near me, so have the same location for biometrics (Alexandria, VA) so I saw in their timelines that it was taking two months to get the bio appt.

Yours will probably come soon. If it doesn't, there were several people who waited over two months for an appointment from Dallas, and finally they just walked into the office and told the guard how long they'd been waiting for appointments, and a senior IO ended up printed them letters right then and there. But give it another couple weeks, I'd say.

Hi everybody! Yesterday we got the appointment notice. It shall be on January 11th in the morning at the Chicago field office. The processing guidelines for Chicago show 4 months for AOS; I guess that means they are a little ahead of their guidelines (since we'll be at the 3 month mark by interview time) and so they are taking interviews rather than transferring to CSC.

I suddenly feel a little nervous, but we've got some solid evidence for the interview, and one of our friends recently had an easy interview in Chicago for AOS from K-1 So, no worries!

PS - We didn't have any touches or updates to our online case status, we just got the appointment letter in the mail.

Great! I hope I have mine soon too since your AOS timeline is very similar.

I was denied twice for early walk in Biometric appointment but today it is done... I hope my interview is scheduled for 1st or 2nd week of February then I'll get 10year card...I don't want to have to deal with USCIS anymore LOL and no I won't be going for citizenship

We called our local Congressman's office about EAD.. They are calling on our behalf. I have a friend who did the same and they approved the EAD same-day!

Just curious, have you gotten your EAD & AP approval yet?

No word on EAD and AP for us. Could be that they will get approved by the interview, but they also could not be. It happens both ways all the time.

hi everybody! we filed our paperwork in October as well. the date of the NOA is 10/20/2010. but we still have not herd anything about the biometrics nor RFE. i am wondering if it is a normal time line or not. i am a little worried now. if any of you have an idea what to do, please help and let me know.

Hey if you're located near Fairfax your biometrics should be at Alexandria. They've been pretty slow about setting appointments lately. We haven't gotten ours yet either, but we called USCIS on Monday and they said it's been mailed out. You can ask for a service request to be placed for the letter if it hasn't been issued yet.
