I just think contacting your congressman should be reserved for when something has gone wrong and you're outside processing times, not just because you're impatient. USCIS posts timelines for a reason

EAD approved for wife and daughter today 12/16/2010 recieved a text message advising to check online status. Says "On December 16, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days

How do you know your case is transferred to CSC? Is it an email notification?

It will say so online when you look your case up. If you've signed up for email alerts then you might get an email. Also they mail you a letter telling you.

I'm the USC petitioner.

Got my RFE in the mail today, nothing major, they were asking for our tax forms. Kevin didn't make a copy of any of his "proof of support" documents (grrr) so we're not entirely sure what exactly we sent, and since he was using them for another application at the same time, there's a chance he took them out of the package temporarily and forgot to put them back in. No big deal, he had them all saved on his computer, we printed em out and mailed them right back. Hopefully this doesn't set us back too much. The RFE sheet said they couldn't process my EAD without the tax forms so I guess it affects that too. :unsure:

AoS from K1 - yes it affects your EAD because everything is dependent upon your AoS. RFE means the whole shebang gets put on hold. Glad you were able to get it back in straight away. :thumbs:

We just had biometrics the other day and haven't had a touch, either. Maybe it's too early to receive a touch or maybe our case won't be touched at all. I'm actually not that worried about it.

The only thing I'm worried about is IF the case gets transferred to CSC (so far it hasn't been) that it will get stuck there like happened to a number of filers in May/June. Gosh, that would be the worst :(

I don't look too much at the online status! Our status during the K3 process never changed from acceptance and I just looked at the AoS status and it still says acceptance :bonk: I look at the log in screen it tends to be a wee bit more accurate and you can follow when they've scanned it. :) Silly Useless ...

Seriously? I was hoping CSC would mean that they'd crank through them.. It even says "so that they can process them faster"..

Today was the latest that my case has been "touched" since being transferred to CSC.. Transferred on the 17th, touched on the 24th, touched again today. Maybe I'll get lucky with an approval this week?

Today was the latest that my case has been "touched" since being transferred to CSC.. Transferred on the 17th, touched on the 24th, touched again today. Maybe I'll get lucky with an approval this week?

Fingers crossed for your approval, but I don't know if it would happen quite that fast.

It wasn't everyone from May/June who got held up, and remarkably, a lot of people who filed LATER ended up being approved quicker. I don't think we have anything too much to fear.

At least yours doesn't say RFE! and then make you wait for days wondering what the heck it was for. :blush:
