How is the process looking after the biometrics?

Couple of touches and eventually a rather long wait we should hear something?

Hopefully, no RFE :)

Nothing yet for us a touch before the Bio Appt and nothing since 11/1/2010 was the appointment.

I think I'll wait till Wednesday. That will be three weeks since NOA. Virtually every post I've read about calling the service center just confirms that it's a waste of time, so I'm not eager to do so. But who knows, they might surprise me.

We're adding our names to the list!

We filed our AOS (I-485/I-764/I-131, K-1 Visa) on 10/29/2010, along with a G-1145 form so we would be notified via text and email. On 11/04/2010 we received email and text messages that all three forms have been received and to expect a NOA letter.

As of today (11/13) we haven't received the letter. The text/email contained a case number and the USCIS web page says it is in "Initial Review".

Patiently waiting... :)

We received our biometrics appointment letter, 11/12/10 - but I was wondering to all that have gone thru it, what do they do exactly for this? My son keeps asking and as far as I know it is just more fingerprints, more pictures and that is as far as I know. We are scheduled for 12-2-10 for our appointment.

Any information would be great

Biometrics is finger print and a photo :) That's all, a pretty painless procedure (for most)

and still no bio appt...I wonder if they just use the stuff from my EAD?

Funny thing though I got a letter from USCIS wondering if we were abandoning our visa application?

This is because we took the K3 as it came up sooner than the full CR1 and we decided to hold off for a while on AoS. So I'm going to have to send them a letter back with AoS receipt number and all the info. You'd think USCIS NH would communicate with MSC?

Yes I had my bio appointment this morning, it's just fingerprints, signature and a photo, we were in and out in probably less than 10 minutes and most of it was spent filling out the form. My husband was like "we drove all the way here for THAT?" I had to tell him, some people don't have USCIS offices half an hour away and have to drive a lot further for their 5 minutes of fun..

Yes, it is a little difficult to find because the ASC doesn't face the street (Route 59). If you're familiar the area, you'll know it's not too far from the Fox Valley Mall. There is a Wal-Mart/Sam's Club across the street from the mall, and the ASC is in a strip mall that is facing the Sam's Club but facing AWAY from Route 59. It says Application Support Center on it in red letters.

Edit: Mapquest returns decent enough directions to at least get you to the general area if you aren't familiar with it.
