Question...are you guys getting the vaccinations transcribed onto the I-693 or are you just sending a copy of the DS-3025? I had planned to get my husband's vaccinations transcribed but I forgot all about it, and now I want to mail everything off today or tomorrow. Can't do that if we still need the transcription.

We went to a local USCIS approved civil surgeon and had the vacine information transcribed took about 30 minutes for two of the and cost $50.00 each

We contemplated NOT getting my husband's vaccinations transcribed, because it looked like everything was in good order. Fortunately, we ended up seeing a CS in our area, where we found out my husband actually needed one more round of MMR. They jabbed him and then did the transcription.

It's a little neurotic, but right before I mailed off my husband's AOS paperwork, I decided to print out the page of the I-693 instructions that says K-1s don't need another medical within a year and highlight the relevant information and stick it in the packet. I then wrote a short explanation citing the instructions and explaining that we had the vaccination portion transcribed because that's all that is needed.

I know it sucks to wait a little longer, but I would strongly recommend having a CS check out your records and transcribe them. You might find you're actually missing something you didn't realize you're missing - just don't let them coerce you into doing a full medical exam. I don't know what part of the US you guys live in now, but there is a GREAT thread in the AOS forum that lists civil surgeons who don't rip you off. We picked our CS off of that list. Good luck!

My husband and I sent off my K-1 AOS this morning. I didn't include the i-693, I just sent the DS-3025 so I am half expecting an RFE.

My DS-3025 has the incomplete/blanket waiver portion ticked, I'm up to date on all my jabs as far as I can see (2 MMR jabs, VH in the varicella box, all others say completed/not age appropriate) so fingers crossed they accept it. We're not in a huge rush for AOS so if we are delayed by an RFE it won't be too huge of an issue.

I am slightly worried after seeing all the threads about RFEs asking for tons of documents/evidence though!

I went ahead and made an appointment to see a civil surgeon on Friday. A pain, but hopefully worth it to not get an RFE. Hopefully we'll have all the documents ready and can mail them right afterward or on Saturday. I found the CS here on VJ as an honest one who only charges $50.
