Can't call or email the Delhi embassy anymore

Apparently you can't call or email the Delhi embassy anymore to get your case information. Since yesterday they have a post up on their site that says to redirect all your queries to the VFS call center. I tried calling the embassy yesterday to find out the status on my AP and I got a recording saying that I need to call VFS helpline. When I call VFS all they can tell me is that they haven't received my passport from the consulate. I got the same auto reply when I tried to email the consulate. If this is true, it means that we will be completely in the dark until the consulate decides to contact us.

Does anyone have any contact numbers that they been able to get through on? The 2419-8062 number dosen't work anymore.

Yes, I had to send an email to infousdelhi@vfshelpline.com... They took two days to respond but I got the same "administrative processing" reply... But what is bad is that if I call the helpline number, all they do is ask for the passport number and tell me that they haven't received my passport from the embassy... If you tell them your case number they don't know what to do with it...

Have tried many numbers at the embassy, still can't get to a real person that I can talk to... If you call the main number, they just transfer you to the VFS recording...

Yes, they just tell you two words, "Administrative Processing"

I called in DOS yesterday, and they said they approved the Visa on OCt 14th.. So i am thinking how long will it take for me to get the passport??? will embassy call me or just mail it..

Congrats Jimmy!! I guess you can call VFS center and see if they have your wife's passport.

iqha, do you have your engagement ceremony pics? CDs/DVDs.. phone bills or additional docs.. Joint Bank account.. that should help you for bonafide relation.
