Hello there,

I been to ireland before and to Canada as well both times as a tourist and i never been overstaying just few days in each contry, i was trying to apply for a student visa to Canada everything was okay ,but, my employer has let me down and never confirmed that i am working working for him and never confirmed my employment letter that i submitted,so, after sometimes the Canadian embassy refused the application and with announcing me as an inadmissible to Canada for 2 years,as they say that the employment letter to be as a fraudlent and false documentation and misrepresntation,,,,anyway,,

i changed all and my employer ,i got a new passport, and going to apply for a student Vids to Ireland, great college, all is good, and i will show the photocopies of my travel to Canada and boarding cards everything like that as i have to,but i don't have to tell them that i am inadmissible to Canada or was refused a student visa even,i don't want to do so,as it will be a bad point on my application and they will refuse,,,what am asking about, is

will the embassy of Ireland check with the Canadain one, about my file with them so,they will figure out about the inadmissibilty thing,or they will just take the copy of the visa that i was there and the boarding cards and the movements paper, which proves that, with no check,so they won't figure out ?

i been to Canada for only 2 weeks,,,,so any help on that will be greatly appreciated guys,,,,,

again, would the embassy of Ireland check on me with the embassy of Canada,,and may they find about the inadmissibilty thing if i didn't tell them about.?

Thanks all,,,

I can't guarantee anything but most countries don't care about overstays in other countries, just in their own, and I don't think they would care about inadmissablility either, as every country has its own guidelines on what is needed to be able to get in (for example, for some countries it may be easier to get a visa to visit Canada than the US). Most places again just ask if you have overstayed in that country, which you haven't, and you didn't overstay here, so I don't imagine it will even come up, but again I'm not completely sure about Irelands procedures.

This is a US immigration board.

I think that they will know anyways because you aren't gonna change your name , you are gonna change your passport , so they enter your name , and BAM your name will show up . So i think you should be honest about it, it would be better , just find a good explenation to what happened IF it came up at the interview .

Sam

Beautiful patience.

don't get it what ya exactly mean?

sorry

He means that VisaJourney only deals with issues related to United States immigration/entry. It would be difficult to find anyone who has an answer to your question since you are not applying to the US for entry. You should probably search for a discussion board pertaining to immigration to the UK/Ireland.

Dody, you have multiple threads on this topic, all over the board. I am going to combine them and move them to a general area. Please do not create another thread on this topic. Just one will do fine. Thank you.

I think people here are confused what visa you want to apply for, and for which country.

Ie- do you currently live in Ireland and are applying to the US embassy in Dublin for a visa to enter the USA, or are you applying for a visa to go to/ stay in Ireland?

In either case, they probably will know about your indadmissability (there is usually a stamp in the passport), but I doubt they will care as it is not anything affecting them, ie not a criminal matter.

This is a forum about US immigration, so you won't get much experience here from people who have applied for Irish visas.

You could try http://www.boards.ie/ , they may have a forum that can help, or ask the Immigration Council: http://www.immigrantcouncil.ie/
