Is there no one to contact regarding speeding up your interview wait time?

I figure the answer is NO, but I thought I would just throw this out there and see what the response was.. :unsure:

Feb 14, 2010 - Engaged :-)
Apr 17, 2010 - Married
May 24, 2010 - I-130 Sent to USCIS
Oct 20, 2010 - : I-130 NOA2 APPROVED..GOD IS GOOD!!!!! smile.png

Jan 24, 2011 - Medical exam
Feb 24, 2011 - Passed, welcome to USA

Unfortunately, Montreal is one of the few consulates that does not accept phone calls and is VERY selective on when they answer emails, which is practically never.

Wonderful service - NOT!

So you have no NOA2 and your already talkin about montreal interview times? You dont get an interview untill you have the NOA2 and past the NVC and medical stages then you will be in line for an interview.. you wouldnt even be inline yet...

Grrr..for some reason my timeline says I applied for a K3 when, in fact my application was for a spousal visa, I changed it, saved and looked again and it stills says K3. Boo!

from start of the cr-1//ir-1 process to an interview appears to still be hovering around the 1 year mark!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Kind of silly to complain/question it when your not even waiting yet for an interview. Specially when people are waiting a long time already for one.

I'll go ahead and agree with Inky. You aren't even far enough in your process to be able to suck up to anyone at Montreal. You've still got a way long ways to go and even if you did know anyone to "suck up" to, they couldn't help you at the stage you're in.

This is stressful on everyone, but you have to learn patience and that your time will come. It just hasn't yet. :blush:

Unless you have a very, very good reason for an expedite, you will need to wait in line like everyone else. The only reason for a granted expedite I have seen from Montreal is military deployment. So unless the petitioner in your case is active military and expecting an deloyment, "sucking up" isn't going to make a difference.

If you think about it for a moment, the suggestion that you can or should be granted a quicker interview date simply because you want one, is likely going to be angering to people who have been waiting. I am not really understanding why you think you should get to jump the line. If the solution was simply "sucking up" everyone would do it, and then it would help no one.

My advice would be to take this process one step at a time. It will help you preserve your sanity.

But as the saying goes--squeaky wheel gets the grease!

True Flames. Sorry Tri, that was harsher than it needed to be.

Being totally honest, I don't think anyone has tried "sucking up." I guess It depends on how far you want to go with it... If you know what I mean :lol: (Kidding!)
