Question about i864 form

I will keep it simple. I hope I get my answer.

My mother has applied for my uncle (I130). We got the bill to pay $88 for Affidavit of Support. I have paid it. Now we have to fill out i864 form.

She does not work and I will be submitting the i864.

She needs to do this form as well? I think so

Do I do a regular i864 or i864a? Do we both do i864 each?

She also lives with me.

I get the part that she has to do one as well. But I thought I would do 864 and not the 864a. why can't they just keep it simple
