Hello all...

My brother is going through the removal of conditions process and we're getting ready to file his documents. Besides the form I-751 and all the back up documentation (copy of GC, copy of Marriage certificate, copy of spouse's passport, taxes, bank statements, etc, etc). Is there anything else that he needs to send? In other words, besides form I-751 are there any other forms that need to be included in the package?

Go here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f858d59cb7a5d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD There's a link at the bottom with instructions. On pages 1-3 it details what you need to include with the form. A copy of the front and back of the permanent resident card, evidence of the relationship (such as joint lease contracts, birth certificates of children born from the marriage, joint financial records, affidavits sworn by people that know of the relationship, etc etc), court orders (if it's applicable). And the instructions don't say anything about sending in a copy of the passport and marriage certificate, as the above poster mentioned.

And I would highly suggest filing before November 23rd, 2010, as the fee for filing the I-751 is going up to $590.

Does the affidavit need to be notarized? I am ready to file for my wife in mid November, and I want to start gathering documents now. Thanks.

No. Many filers have posted that they sent in affidavits without notarization. Some do suggest, however, that affidavits are not required if your other evidence is solid. Good luck.
