Wow, what a bunch of turmoil you have been subjected to.

My wife had difficulty with the fingerprints too, but that was because they were training new people and this person just couldn't get the images done correctly. I think she had to suffer from four attempts at getting all the prints completed correctly.

As to the different alien numbers, I'll just say ####### did you expect from the government. Just proceed with the different stages and wait for the AOS interview. Once that is completed, then everything else will be over and done. You won't need EAD or AP after the green card is issued. Just be confident it will happen but be prepare to explain everything at the interview.

I'm not too worried, to be honest. We're just waiting for the word on AOS, which should happen within next couple of months, I hope.

As for fingerprints. We went twice and no further info yet. At all of the stages of taking the fingerprints it took quite a while for my wife. Her's is really hard to take. Took good 20 minutes in the consulate and about the same at POE.
