So heres what we need to schedule our interview. 2 new BC with different format, translations of BC, renew passports they expire in 7 months and they want them to be good for 1 year, certified copies of USC divorce, medical (scheduled for Nov 2nd), evidence of relationship. Should have everything done on the 3rd.

USEM will not schedule interview until all documents are ready.

I hope these are the last hoops...

On a good note my wife went to the embassy today to pick up packet 4 with instructions and they were very helpfull and polite.

I&G,

I thought you have submitted all the originals to NVC. Why do the Consulate ask them again? Won't NVC forward them to the Consulate?

I think I missed your couple of posts about this!

Yes I submitted originals of everything. The BC they want I guess has some additional information on them and they are for the kids only my wifes is fine.

The divorce docs went to USCIS as copies but not to NVC as originals because they were for the USC and NVC said dont send them only send docs for the beneficiary...wrong! :bonk: No problem I will bring them to the interview.

As far as evidence goes I didnt send any to USCIS when I filed my I-130. Obviously I have ten pounds like everyone else here... hahahaha

Awsome to see your flying through NVC and guessing you will have a December interview.

Ok, now I got it, I&G! Wish you all the very best for the interview and hear us the good news soon

Our all papers are still with NVC and they are communicating with Chennai to find out an interview slot. I got an email response from NVC an hour back. Also, saw that Chennai announced the November list until 30th. The closest case of a person who got interview date has an NVC case# generated 2 days before mine (but that's K1/K3 I think, they normally bypass the NVC #######!). So, my expectation in December interview is more confirmed.

Ok. Ok. Ok. Let's take a break from all this visa 'ish and talk about what you all and we all had for dinner. I cooked dinner tonight. Damn you USCIS for talking so long to approve the I130. Otherwise, my wife would be here. But anyways, here's what I made. It was very delicious. I peeled some shrimps. About 10 of them. They were medium in size. Something came over me and I didn't through the shell away. instead, I drizzled some olive oil on a cast-iron pan and fried the shell. My reason was that it was going to flavour the pan. But once it was crispy fried, I couldn't resist it. I ate the crispy friend shrimp shell while thinking being interview by Andrew Zimmern about not throwing anything away. Then saute some onion with olive oil, butter, freshly cracked black peppers, and some garlic power. Then I threw in the semi-frozen shrimps. Cooked them barely for a minute. But just before talking it off the stove, I decided to throw in some frozen shredded coconut. Then I cooked it for 25 more seconds on high heat until the coconut wasn't frozen anymore. Then I dashed in some Indian hot chili power. Voila! It was actually pretty good. Didn't occur to me to take a picture, however.

What'd you have for dinner.

Edit: IV fee now shows PAID. But I cannot do anything until I get some docs (i.e. original birth and marriage certificate, nikah-namah, and police certificate, passport copy, and passport photo) from wife.

Wow, that sounds like a yummy dinner! I don't normally cook, IS. Depends on all crappy restaurants all the time. Sometimes dinner will be light - just some fruits and nuts, a glass of milk etc.

So, you will be all set by next week from your part

@KVPandPKP

Your DS3032 has been accepted. You should get your AOS and IV bill within a few hours. You may not get an email. So keep checking the payment portal every so often.

I don't cook much either. Maybe onces or twice a month. Usually just grab something on my way from work. Mostly Mexican and Iraqi. Some nights, I don't even eat anything.

Looking forward to getting everything done and relaxing until the interview. God, I hope it's sometimes in 2010.
