I would love to know. Share your tip, you tip-sharing you.

The only thing I could do is look at the last few people that had interview at Dhaka Embassy. They took about 215 days from NOA1. Byt that estimation, my wife will be scheduled for an interiview at the end of November or early December. But this is just pure estimation. Tell me your tip, Loto-ji.

OK, here it is.

It may be useful only to some consulates where it publish the immigrant visa appointment list.

1) Pick some 10 or 20 IR1/CR1 case# from the recent appointment list with the actual interview date.

2) Feed them to NVC AVR system and listen when it was completed or forwarded to the Consulate.

3) Now do a weighted average to compute the average time.

You need patience for this!

IS,

It will give only an idea how long the Consulate takes for the interview after the case completion.

Normally, after case completion, NVC takes 1 to 3 weeks to schedule the interview. So the filer is eager to know his/her interview date.

So, this is the time killing exercise for them :star:

Again, it is approximate. Another option as you told, look at VJ timeline of the members in your Consulate that completed the case recently.

J&I, under what ground had you filed your expedite request to NVC? May be that might help us too. Please let us know NVC response on it. THanks

My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

11/24/10 - IV package was reviewed and generated artificial RFE for missing photographs (which was actually submitted with the package)

11/26/10 - RFE response mailed out

11/29/10 - RFE response delivered to NVC

12/08/10 - RFE response entered into NVC system

12/15/10 - SIF :)

12/15/10 - Case Complete :)

01/03/11 - Interview date assigned for Feb 15 @ 1:30 PM

Dhaka Embassy interview check list says bring original birth certificate and marriage certificate. But NVC is asking for that also. How is this possible? I know NVC is going to forward the original documents to Dhaka embassy. So should we ignore the dhaka embassy check list requirement of original birth/marriage certificate. Now I'm freaking out. That's general guideline - some people do DCF. It is applicable to them.

My IV package has FINALLY arrived at NVC - despite sending it via express post it still took nearly two weeks to arrive... bah humbug. I should have forked over the extra cash for courier service. Oh well, you live and you learn. Now comes the wait for SIF and then interview... Feels great to be on the last leg, but I'll feel so much better when I have an interview date - I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that I'll be able to fly home to the US with my hubby in January (He's coming out for Chrissy and New Years, yay!).

Congrats on your SIF Loto! Good luck your your interview appointment, I hope they schedule you one as early as possible. I will be praying that I get SIF in as short a time as you!

2 weeks for courier delivery from Australia to New Hampshire. I can swim across the ocean and walk on the ground from these 2 points within 10 days :bonk:
