Looks like my IV fee will be PAID today. But sadly, I won't be able to ship out the IV package until next week. Wife is going to send me stuff using FedEX. But Friday in Bangladesh is a weekend. It's already Friday there. And Saturday is a weekend too. So she won't be able to send it until Sunday. I'd get it Wednesday. Then ship it out Thursday. Oh well. Hopefully, AOS package will be done at NVC by then.

I waited 7 months. I can wait another week. By the way, do you guys think it's possible for my wife to get an interview in December?

I would like to say yes Indigo but No unless you can get a SIF followed by a Case Complete with final review by November 10th but thats just my guess. Good luck regardless.

On a side note - the FedEx operator told me the package will be delivered today! :dance: tho on the website it still says "clearance in progress"... Hopefully they get it today so hubby can call tomorrow, play dumb and ask WASSUP with my wifey's case! :D:whistle:

Good news! Well, sort of. FedEX is open on Saturday in Bangladesh. So wife can send the stuff this Saturday. Hopefully, I'll get it by Tuesday. Send it by Wednesday. NVC get's it Thursday. I know I'm being optimistic, but maybe NVC will complete the case by 10th of November. Then maybe, just maybe we can have a December interview.

Can anyone tell me what SIF means?

Also, what happens if we cannot obtain police reports from a country we lived in years ago... Syria? they do not issue them from their embassies and require you to travel to the country to obtain them in person....

"Sign In Failed" - when you cannot log on to the payment portal. That usually means ur case is in the final stages at NVC and ready to be completed and sent to the USEM in the beneficiary's country. Can't help you about the police clearance tho.. :( Maybe someone else will.. Good luck! :thumbs:

Personal Update: Package was delivered to USEM Sofia! :dance: Hopefully good news by next week! :innocent:

Maybe I will. Maybe I won't. But good luck to you and to moi. Not much long now. This whole immigration process was way l ess daunting that I thought it would be. Thanks in part to many VisaJourney members, Loto, and Darnell. My biggest worry was getting the PCC, which someone said would take 3 months to get in Bangladesh. In truth, it only took a very respectable and very agreeable two weeks. I kept everything short 'n' sweet, simple 'n' clean.

Still quite a long way to go... but I feel more confident in my abilities.

Update: AOS package was delivered half of an hour ago.

I am assuming you are referring to mailing NVC.

I would say YES. I went with my AOS package to one of the USPS facility yesterday at 2:30 PM and did Next day delivery. When I tracked it this morning, It was delivered to NVC on 11:26 AM today.

My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

@J&I, yes you need PCC from any other country other than the U.S, if you have lived 6 months or 1 year (I don't remember the timeline) and if it is obtainable.

@Indigo, Yes you may get interview in Dec if your case completed by Nov middle as Tom said. It also depends on how busy the Consulate. Some Consulates are really busy whereas others are not.
