About to send AOS packet off. I know we make copies for our records but are we to send them photocopies of everything too? seems like the 230 runs that way but not sure of the 864 is the same? advise?

Can I (US Cit) email the form to NVC after my wife (applicant) signs? Or does she have to sign it?

DS-3032 is emailed/mailed by the beneficiary.

For AOS, no photocopies are needed. It's only during DS230 step that you have to include photocopies. So you're gold. Ship that AOS out ASAP. Hopefully, you're express mailing it with return receipt. If so, hurry. Get it in before 17:00 hours so it'll be there by 12:00 hours tomorrow.

I double checked after you mentioned that and it says "not paid" which means it has been invoiced. Plan to pay it tonight. Only the IV shows as "Not Invoiced".

svenkatc, we are in the same boat. I logged on and could see the AOS, but it shows as "Not Invoiced." Has yours already "invoiced"? If it is "Invoiced" then you can pay the bill because it has been generated?

On a side note, please do not expose your confidential data such as case#, DOB etc on public forums - Identiity theft may be possible.

Yes, I plan to email the DS3032 in the format shown on this site. Not sure what you mean by include pdf. Am assuming you got your wife sign it and scanned it or is it a pdf without her signature on the form. Why is it that you attach the pdf along with the mail ? I thought the email itself was sufficient. I sent the ds3032 to my wife in India to sign and I will receive it next week. Plan to express mail that when I receive it in addition to the email.

The 2-3 days wait is only applicable if you have IIN and you cannot pay your AOS bill. I got my IIN on day 1 but I had to wait 2 days before I could select the invoice on the payment portal to pay for it. I got my IIN using a trick. So I got it much earlier than I should have gotten it. That's why I had to wait. But since you got your IIN and you are able to pay your invoice, go ahead an do it. Don't mind what the NVC operator said. Pay it. When it's paid, print the cover-sheet and ship out the AOS package.

I hope you are working on DS3032 while the above is going on. Email the DS3032 in email format and include the filled out PDF, also. So by the time one things is done, you'll be ready for the next thing: DS230. Good luck.

Make sure to use Internet Explorer when paying the invoice. The site doesn't work on other browers very well.

You can't really have your id stolen only from your NVC case number. NVC case number is calculated number. So it's fairly easy to compute. But hide it in future, still.

Yeah. Email is sufficient. I just wanted to be through so I included the physical, signed pdf also. Not an absolute necessity however. If they accept your emailed DS3032, don't even bother with the physical DS3032. I mean why? It's already accepted and stuff. Intead, why don't you get your wife go download the DS230 and sign part I. Then have her express mail it to you. You could still get the DS3032 at that time also.

I know you think I'm being way paranoid, my concern is that tabndan's email reply from 'Sue' stated the following in the first paragraph:

"The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions before the instruction packet will be sent."

Mine did not.

I just don't know what to think here.

finally got ahold of someone at the nvc who told me something useful! (unfortunately the "something useful" wasnt my IIN) but he said they're preparing the batch of cases received on the date mine was and that I should hear from them by next Wed at the latest -- I still plan on calling every day anyway 8)

thank you everyone here for all the info, i know im not done yet, but i've learned so much more from this site than any NVC/CIS operator or anything else.

At the top of the page it has Immigration Timelines. Click... Or when you are surfing this site and see your post at the bottom it has Timelines. Click. Then just enter dates as appropriate.

Agree. My wife is in a remote village in india and I would rather give her one task (which is sign all the docs I send and courier it to me) than give her a series of small tasks..hehe. I sent her the ds230 and the ds3032 to sign and send it back. If my ds3032 email is not accepted in 2 or 3 days time, I plan to use the Sue route

In any case, sending the ds3032 multiple times (which a lot of folks have done here) doesn't hurt. It also helps take the frustration out of our wait ...hehe

I still think emailing the ds3032 before the IV fee is generated is a waste and many people here have done that and email/mailed it again.

Its been almost a week since I send the Agent of choice email but have not received the email stating that it has been accepted. I did however get invoiced for the IV application today...so does that mean that the agent of choice was accepted???

Boy did Oct fly by or what!!! So much has happened with everyone and I cant keep up (400 emails). We are so close to the end of this darn trip I can almost taste it...

I smelled like a camp fire for about 2 days after getting home...Had a great time but I am much stiffer than I remember being in the past. Maybe I should keep my camping down to selecting a Holiday Inn. .. Had a blast anyway and probably drank to much...
