What the hell. I'll call NVC now to start of my Thursday. For sh**s and giggles, yo.

I get so discouraged when I see everyone's timeline and it say 10/20/10 - NVC case assigned and 10/21/2010 AOS bill generated. I'm happy for you but sad for me. It's been a week since they generated my NVC case number but no IIN yet. :(

Cancelled passport? Is that just because it expired? I have my old one from when I changed my name after marriage...should I include a copy of that too or just my current one?

When my wife went to get her name changed, they put a cancelled stamp on her old passport. So I just submitted that and a copy of the new one as well. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Check my timeline as well. It did take almost a week or so before getting anything from them. You should get something today or tomorrow. Good luck.

When my wife went to get her name changed, they put a cancelled stamp on her old passport. So I just submitted that and a copy of the new one as well. Better safe than sorry I guess.

I don't know it they stamped cancelled on mine...I know they cut the corner of it. Thanks for the reply.
